ISO 14001 International environmental standard
ISO standard 14001 sets out a framework for incorporating environmental concerns into the company’s activities, in order to control its environmental impact and reconcile the company’s operational goals with its respect for the environment. It can apply to any type of company. It deals with the environmental aspects of the company’s activities, products and services (interactions between the activities, products and services and environmental components).

The current European Standard sets out requirements for steel frames as structures or structural components produced from: hot rolled construction steel products up to and including grade S690, cold formed components and sheeting up to and including grade S700, hot finished or cold formed austenitic, austenitic-ferritic and ferritic stainless steel products, hot finished or cold formed structural hollow sections, including standard range and custom-made rolled products and hollow sections manufactured by welding.
